| Synopsis:
The Jackson residence had two main design criteria: one,
the home was to "tread lightly" on the site,
preservation of the landscape and earth was of utmost
importance. A step footing was used to move the foundation
up the hill. And second, the home needed to be able to
be resold. Standard bedrooms, a master suite, dining area,
etc could not be left out. The house had to have the things
that most families would want in a home. |
